Burton Richard is the founder and broker of Kinetic Brokerage, a Lafayette-based commercial brokerage built on a simple philosophy: clients deserve a partner who is as invested in their outcome as they are. A lifelong resident of Lafayette, Burton earned both his undergraduate and MBA degrees from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he built the analytical foundation he now applies to every deal.

Before commercial real estate, Burton spent nearly a decade in medical device sales — a career that demanded precision, trust, and the ability to understand complex, high-stakes client needs. That discipline carried directly into his real estate practice. Whether guiding a physician group through a medical office acquisition, structuring a net lease sale, or advising an owner on a multifamily disposition, Burton brings the same patience, attentiveness, and relentless advocacy that defined his years serving clients in medical devices.

Burton's approach is straightforward: take the time to understand what a client actually needs, then work with determination until the deal reflects it. He doesn't rush a negotiation just to close it — he pushes for the outcome that genuinely serves his client, even when that means holding firm through a longer process. That combination of patience and persistence has become his signature in the Lafayette/Acadiana market, spanning office, industrial, medical, multifamily, and land.

In launching Kinetic, Burton set out to build the kind of brokerage he always wanted to work for — one rooted in transparency, modern technology, and a genuine client-first standard. He leads Kinetic's team with the same values that have defined his own career: show up prepared, tell clients the truth, and never stop working until the deal is right.
